This story needs some work. The characters are childishly unbelievable, they bounce back and forth from brave to afraid. The best friend is wild the mother is over the top and the grandma is crazy singing while a guy dies. The police officer likes her, but accuses her as if he knows she did it. She catches her enemy at her back door and the cops didn't even investigate it. Then, she breaks into her enemy's shop, finds a notice from the dead inspector about being shut down, and rat poison in the corner. Lastly, her friend the cop arrests her when he finds her with the poison in her hand. The plot is strange and it just really feels like a swing and a miss.Product details

This is the first time I have read any of this author's work. I really enjoyed it. She kept me interested from page one. It was a good story with just the right mix of romance.
The story moved at a good pace. It didn't drag on with too little happening. The main characters were fun to read about. The length of the story was short enough to read at one sitting. The ending was happy. The reader will read more of the series to see how the romance goes. Also the mystery. That's what I think.
